Recent news stories have highlighted awareness of unauthorised encampments in around the Bournemouth area. This awareness has increased with the current COVID-19 pandemic and the movement of people and the increased risk of transmission affecting the R.

The media have reported encampments on the beach, cliff tops and some recreational areas. BCP council and its partners have strategies to address any concerns by local residents. On the council, website is states “No one is allowed to set up an encampment on public land in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area without permission. If you see people using caravans / motor homes in any of our parks, gardens or nature reserves you should report it to BCP Council by following this link>>
