Officers have secured court orders to recover more than £150,000 from six men who were sentenced as part of a drug supply conspiracy in Dorset.
The defendants were sentenced for conspiracy to supply drugs at Bournemouth Crown Court on Friday 11 February 2022 following an investigation by detectives into an organised crime group who were reported to be involved in the large scale supply of class A drugs in the county.
Evidence obtained during the operation indicated the defendants were involved in a drug supply network, facilitating the collection of cocaine in large quantities, usually kilogram blocks, from London and then taking them down to the Bournemouth area to deal in smaller quantities.
They were arrested following a day of action on Thursday 29 October 2020 after an extensive investigation by Dorset Police’s Serious Organised Crime Investigation Team (SOCIT).
After the defendants were sentenced, a Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) application was launched by officers from Dorset Police’s Economic Crime Unit.
